Story: Bhuj: The Pride of India is an upcoming Indian 2020 Hindi-language war action film directed, co-produced and written by Abhishek Dudhaiya. Set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, it is about the life of IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, the then in-charge of the Bhuj airport who and his team reconstructed the IAF airbase with the help of 300 local women.[2] The film features Ajay Devgn as Karnik,[3] along with Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk and Pranitha Subhash. After announcing the film on 19 March 2019, it was confirmed that the true accident shown in the film is one of India's most fascinating war-related stories.[1][5] Principal photography began in late June 2019,[6] and it was shot in Hyderabad, Kutch, Bhopal, Indore, Lucknow, Mumbai and Kolkata.[7] The film will be released on 14 August 2020, one day before the Indian Independence Day.
